The eagle Scout rank carries with it a special significance, not only in Scouting, but also in higher education, business and community serving organizations. The award is a performance based achievement whose standards have been well maintained over the years. Approximately 4% of young men who enter Scouting earn the rank of Eagle Scout. To earn the Eagle Scout rank, the highest advancement rank in Scouting, a Boy Scout must fulfill requirements in the area of leadership, service, outdoor and life skills.
